Brampton’s First Hospice.
As a specialized form of healthcare, hospice palliative care aims to relieve suffering and improve the quality of life for those living with a life limiting illness, as well as their families. Hospice palliative care addresses the specific physical, psychological, social, spiritual, and practical issues, and their associated expectations, needs, hopes and fears on an individual basis (Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association)
With dedicated support from Brampton’s Honorable Mayor Patrick Brown, City Councillors, and community members, Kay Blair Hospice is in the process of building Brampton’s first 12-bed Hospice. Kay Blair Hospice will be serving the diverse needs of Brampton and its surrounding communities to provide dignified end-of-life support.
